Close of Work is a free browser game. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain words.
What we collect
- Game progress on your device. Your saves, scores, streak, badges, ride, house and Japa Fund are stored in your browser so you can continue where you left off.
- Leaderboard details, only if you add them. If you add a name and state, they appear on the public leaderboard with your scores and money made.
- Google sign-in, only if you use it. We use it to sync your progress between devices. We store your progress, not your password.
- Anonymous game activity. Your browser gets a random ID. We record things like "started a job", "finished Day 3" or "shared a result card", plus time zone, device type (phone or laptop) and the website that sent you. No names, emails or phone numbers.
- Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visitors and see how the game is used. It uses cookies. See how Google uses this data.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't ask for your phone number, address or payment details.
Ads
We may show optional "watch an ad to continue" videos from Google in the future. If we do, Google may use cookies to show and measure ads, and we'll update this page.
Your choices
- Clear your browser's site data to remove your local saves and random ID.
- Use your browser's settings or an extension to block analytics cookies.
- To remove your name from the leaderboard or delete synced progress, contact us.
